
Mr. Santosh Gangwar who had held the position of Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Labour and Employment resigned from Union Cabinet on July 7, Mr. Bhupendra Yadav has been appointed the new Minister of Labour and Employment.
Besides Labour and Employment, Mr. Bhupendra Yadav is also appointed Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in the Government of India. Earlier Mr. Prakash Javadekar was having this Ministry.
Bhupendra Yadav, 51-year-old second-term Rajya Sabha MP took the oath as Cabinet Ministry on Wednesday, 7th July. Commenting on his new role, he wrote on twitter, “In my new innings as a Union Minister, I will be taking charge of the @LabourMinistry at 12 pm and at 2 pm will assume charge of @moefcc.”
