
Meghna Gupta has joined National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
In her new role at NSDL, Meghna will leverage her vast experience and expertise to drive HR strategies that support the organization’s goals and ensure the development of a dynamic and motivated workforce to meet the evolving needs of the financial services industry.
Extensive HR Background
Meghna brings two decades of rich HR experience, before her new role, most recently she worked as Senior Vice President- Relationship Head at Axis Bank and earlier as Head -HR at Axis Mutual Fund.
Previously, she has worked at prominent financial institutions such as Kotak Mahindra Bank and ICICI Bank. During Her career span, she has built a robust track record in human resources management.
At Axis Bank, Meghna played a pivotal role in driving HR initiatives that aligned with the bank’s strategic objectives. As the Head of HR at Axis Mutual Fund, she was instrumental in developing and implementing policies that enhanced employee engagement, talent acquisition, and retention.

Meghna’s career began at ICICI Bank, where she gained foundational experience in HR practices and processes. Her journey continued at Kotak Mahindra Bank, where she further honed her skills in managing HR functions and driving organizational change.
Meghna is an alumnus of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), where she earned a Diploma in Personnel Management and Human Resources Management.
