Wipro promotes 31 staff amid executive departures
The company has stated that this move is in line with its continual dedication to nurturing robust internal leadership.

According to various media reports, Wipro, a leading technology services and consulting company,  has elevated six employees to Senior Vice President, out of a total of 25 employees appointed to the role of Vice President.

Among those who have been promoted to Senior Vice President positions are Anuj Kumar, who serves as Wipro’s Chief Delivery Officer, Ajit Mahale, the CFO of Capco, Benjamin Simon, Kim Watson, Srinivasaa HG, who heads the strategy and execution arm of Wipro’s cloud division, and the head of Wipro’s cloud division’s healthcare portfolio.

Several senior executives, such as finance chief Jatin Dalal, Chief Growth Officer Stephanie Trautman, and Digital and Cloud head Barath Narayanan, departed Wipro within the last year.

The company has stated that this move is in line with its continual dedication to nurturing robust internal leadership.

Recently, Wipro Limited has announced the launch of Wipro Enterprise Artificial Intelligence (AI)-Ready Platform, a new service allowing clients to create their enterprise-level, fully integrated, and customized AI environments.

As part of this expanded partnership, Wipro associates will be trained in IBM hybrid cloud, AI, and data analytics technologies to help accelerate the development of joint solutions.

Wipro has seen a reduction of 4,470 employees in its headcount for the third quarter of the fiscal year 2024. As of the quarter ending on 31 December 2023, the company’s headcount stood at 2,40,234, down from 2,44,707 in the previous quarter (Q2 FY24). 

The attrition rate, which stood at 15.5 percent in the previous quarter, stabilized further and reached a 10-quarter low. The Voluntary attrition has continued to moderate QoQ, coming in at a 10-quarter low of 12.3% in Q3’24.
