
Recently, Accenture has announced the appointment of new leaders who have been helping advance its strategy to reinvent companies in the age of AI and drive long-term growth for Accenture.
The company named Angela Beatty as Chief Leadership and Human Resources Officer, effective September 1, 2024, and she will join the Global Management Committee.
Currently, Angela Beatty is working as Global Lead, Talent, Rewards, and Employee Experience at Accenture. She collaborates with teams worldwide to shape the end-to-end employee experience, covering recruiting, onboarding, learning, leadership development, compensation, benefits, and recognition programs for nearly one million people.
Angela also works closely with Accenture’s Board of Directors, managing the activities of the Board’s Compensation, Culture, and People Committee. She has been associated with the company since 20217.
She succeeds Ellyn Shook, who is retiring after 36 years of service with Accenture. Shook will step down as Chief Leadership and Human Resources Officer and member of the Global Management Committee on August 31, 2024, and will retire on March 1, 2025. She will then become an Accenture Luminary.
Before joining Accenture, Angela spent 15 years at Towers Watson, progressing from consultant to practice leader in the Rewards, Talent, and Change business.

She advised CHROs and CFOs across various industries in HR transformation, employee engagement, total rewards optimization, compensation, and benefits design, HCM system change implementation, and employment value proposition development.
Angela holds a Doctorate from Georgetown University with an interdisciplinary focus on organizational psychology, behavioral economics, and cognitive neuroscience.
Her dissertation on fairness perceptions and the influence of transparency and trust earned distinction. She also completed an Apprenticeship in Teaching at Georgetown.
Angela’s academic background includes a Master of Arts in speech communication and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Mercer University and St Peter’s College, University of Oxford.
