Ashok Leyland, an Indian multinational automotive company has announced the appointment of Amanpreet Singh as Head and President of Human Resources. Before accepting this promotion, Amanpreet was working with Hinduja Group as its Vice President -Group Human Resources.

Amanpreet has been with the Hinduja Group in Mumbai since December 2019 and has been working closely with the group head (human resources).

He has three decades of experience in the entire gamut of HR, handling leadership / strategic roles in multinational organizations and reputed Indian corporates across diverse industries spanning from Manufacturing, Engineering/ Automobile, FMCG, IT, and Services.

Prior to joining Hinduja Group, Amanpreet worked with companies like Escorts, VE Commercial Vehicle, Intertek Group, Symantec, and Gillette India in leadership roles.

Amanpreet succeeds N V Balachander, who moved to another role as President- ESG.

The company, in a release, said it has moved N V Balachander, president, human resources and communication, as the President, Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives.

Besides holding the new responsibility, Balachander would also handle the portfolio of communication, corporate social responsibility, and corporate affairs.

Ashok Leyland is an Indian multinational automotive manufacturer, headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is owned by the Hinduja Group. It was founded in 1948 as Ashok Motors and became Ashok Leyland in the year 1955.
