
Atlassian Corporation, a leading provider of team collaboration and productivity software, has promoted Avani Prabhakar to Chief People Officer.
Most recently, she was SVP, Global Head of Talent, and HR Business Partners and has been associated with the organization since July 2019.
Avani announced the change in her role through a LinkedIn post saying, “I’m thrilled to share that I’m stepping into the role of Chief People Officer at Atlassian!”
“It’s fair to say the last five years at Atlassian have been a wild ride, full of highs, challenges, and personal growth – not to mention almost doubling our headcount”, the post added.
The post further said, “I couldn’t be more excited to take the helm of our People Team that supports our 11,000 Atlassians (and growing!)”
“A big thank you to my teammates who have inspired me along the way. Here’s to unleashing the potential together”, she concluded.
Avani is an accomplished People executive with more than 20 years of international experience across APAC, the Middle East, and the US, in the technology, aviation, insurance, research, and analytics industries.
She is passionate about leading people strategy to deliver outcomes and driving culture transformation in organizations going through a change journey.
Her areas of expertise include HR Business Partnership, Organization Design and Development, Change Management, Rewards Strategy, Talent Management, HR Programs, and Policies.
Prior to the current organization she was associated with Fuji Xerox Australia as Head of HR Business Partnering. Her earlier stints include working with British Airways, GENPACT, and GE Capital.
