Gokaldas Exports, a leading name in the apparel manufacturing industry, has appointed Amit Sharma as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

In his new role at Gokaldas Exports, Amit will drive the company’s HR strategies, focusing on talent development, workforce optimization, and enhancing organizational culture.

Amit brings 2.5 decades of rich experience working with top-notch companies in HR leadership, having held various significant roles across multiple industries.

Extensive HR Background

Prior to joining Gokaldas Exports, Amit worked as Vice President and Head – HR at Volvo Group India. In this role, he drived HR strategies that supported the company’s business objectives, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Before his stint at Volvo, Amit was associated with TE Connectivity, where lastly he worked as Director – HR. Amit also contributed significantly during his tenure at Philips, Johnson & Johnson, Ballarpur Industries, and Indian Oil Corporation, where he held various HR leadership positions.

Amit’s career began with an internship at Bank of America in 1998, which laid the foundation for his subsequent success in human resources.

His academic background includes an MBA in Human Resources from the University Business School, Panjab University, which provided him with a strong theoretical foundation and practical insights into HR management.
