Akasa Air salary hike by 40% w.e.f July, captain to get Rs 7.75 lakh
As per the latest revision, the senior first officers will get Rs 3.40 lakh per month and senior captains will get Rs 6.25 lakh per month from July onwards.

According to the ET reports, An Indian low-cost airline, Akasa Air increases the salary by 40% and it will be effective from July 1, 2023.

Commenting on the salary hike, a person aware of the development said: “The quantum of salary hike is more for junior pilots because they are the future of the airline and the airline wants to hold onto them as they are upgraded to commanders. This is the industry’s best salary for Boeing 737 pilots now.” Ā 

As per the latest revision, the senior first officers will get Rs 3.40 lakh per month and senior captains will get Rs 6.25 lakh per month from July onwards. Moreover, the captain can earn Rs 7.75 lakh at the maximum limit of 60 hours per month.

However, with the salary hike by the Airline, it is expected that other aviation firms may soon follow suit. This move would help attract and retain pilots.
