
Former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry (54) died in a road accident. This incident took place in Maharashtra’s Palghar district. He died after his car hit a divider.
Cyrus Mistry was traveling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai. He was chosen to succeed Ratan Tata as chairman of the Tata Group in 2012. He was then removed after four years.
Cyrus Mistry was traveling with two persons, including the car driver, who were injured. All the injured persons have been shifted to a hospital in Gujarat.
A senior Palghar district police official said, āThe accident took place around 3.15 pm when Mistry was travelling to Mumbai from Ahmedabad.”
“The accident took place on a bridge over the Surya River. It seems like an accident,āā said senior official added.
