
EPFO advises all subscribers to do/update e-nomination to avail the benefits. EPF members can also modify nominees online.
It helps online claim settlement upon the death of the member, online payment of PF, Pension, and Insurance (upto Rs 7 lakh) to eligible nominees, and paperless and speedy claim settlement.

An insurance cover of Rs 7 lakh is given to each account holder’s nominee through the Employee Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme (EDLI Insurance Cover) in case of sudden death of EPF member.
In a situation, if there is no nominee in the account then there is a problem in claiming money for insurance.
The process of making e-nominations
To complete the process of e-nomination
i) Click on the epfo’s website epfindia.gov.in.
ii) Click on the Service option next and then click on the For Employees option.
iii) Login by entering the UAN number.
iv) Click on the Manage tab.
v) Click on Family Declaration.
vi) Click yes next and fill in the nominee’s information.
vii) Click on the Proceed option.
viii)Fill in your Aadhaar number and registered number.
ix) Enter the OTP and your e-nomination process will be completed.
Documents required for e-nomination
In the process of e-nomination, the account holder will have to upload the name of the nominee, Aadhaar number, address proof, date of birth, mobile number and scanned passport size photograph of the nominee.
The account holder can also cancel the old nomination and add the new nomination details.
