
Procter and Gamble India (P&G India) hosted the second edition of ‘Equality and Inclusion Roadshow’ at its largest manufacturing facility in the country, located in Hyderabad.
With the objective of promoting education and raising awareness, the Roadshow successfully assembled a wide-ranging team comprising employees at various levels within the organization.
This diverse group included technicians, line workers, managers, as well as individuals who were recently hired and senior leaders with extensive decades of experience in the company.
The event comprised of various engaging sessions and nuanced conversations, that helped the audience to identify biases, break barriers, and pledge to advance on their journey to be more inclusive.
P&G’s Equality & Inclusion (E&I) strategy is holistic and integrated, aiming to drive inclusion for all, with focused efforts towards Gender Equality, LGTBTQ+ inclusion and inclusion of People with Disabilities.

The event also included experiential sensitisation for the employees to drive awareness and empathy, from pregnancy simulators to sessions on basics of Indian sign language among others.

Throughout its journey, the P&G Hyderabad site has emerged as a trailblazer in promoting inclusivity. P&G India took pioneering steps by ensuring the presence of female Technicians in all manufacturing shifts, including the night shift.
This achievement was made possible through collaborative efforts with the government, securing the required approvals and opening up growth opportunities for women in the technician workforce.
The plant has continued to enable a trusting, open, and inclusive culture at the workplace where everyone is valued, and has equal access to opportunities to thrive.
