Capgemini to hire 30,000 employees in India in 2021

Capgemini India plans to hire about 30,000 employees in India in 2021. There is a 25% increase from last year, underscoring the French information technology (IT) services provider and consulting firm’s bullish business prospects amid a pandemic-induced surge in demand for digital solutions.

Last year the company hired about 24,000 people in India.

2021 hiring includes a 50:50 mix of both lateral as well as fresh hiring from campuses., said, Ashwani Yardi, CEO of Capgemini India said in an interview with Mint.

“The hiring reflects our strong revenue growth guidance of 7-9% for 2021,” he added.

Capgemini usually visits premier engineering institutes in the country including the IITs, NITs, government and private technical institutes like College of Engineering Pune, Birla Institute of Technology and Science (Pilani), Amity, and Vellore Institute of Technology.

Capgemini may be a French company but more than half of its workforce is located in India. Currently, the company has workforce of around 125,000 people in India and worldwide diverse organization of 270,000 team members in nearly 50 countries.
