Amit is a part of many Advisory Boards & Governing Council Member in several reputed Corporates & Educational Institutions across the world.

Amit has also been a key member of the Empowered Expert Committee (EEC) under Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, wherein he was nominated by the Govt. of India to create & manage an Electronic Employment Exchange platform for senior citizens named SACRED.

Rather than a weakness, vulnerability embodies a strength, facilitating authentic connections and fostering a culture of openness.

    Within HR management, vulnerability plays a pivotal role in creating a safe environment where employees feel empowered to share their concerns and aspirations. It signifies a departure from traditional top-down approaches, emphasizing empathy and inclusivity.

    Amid the challenges brought forth by the COVID-19 pandemic, embracing vulnerability within HR practices at BCCL (The Times of India) played a pivotal role in fostering a culture of openness and inclusivity.

    As the pandemic swept across the globe, uncertainty permeated every aspect of professional and personal life. The HR team recognized the importance of transparent communication and empathetic leadership during these unprecedented times.

    In response, we openly shared personal struggles and uncertainties faced amidst the pandemic, acknowledging the collective emotional toll it was taking on employees. This display of vulnerability created a sense of solidarity and empathy, reassuring employees that they were not alone in their experiences.

    Moreover, we implemented initiatives such as virtual support groups and mental health resources to address the unique challenges posed by remote work and social isolation. By openly acknowledging the impact of the pandemic on employees’ well-being and providing avenues for support, we cultivated a culture of openness and inclusivity.

    Employees felt empowered to share their concerns and seek assistance without fear of judgment, fostering a sense of community and mutual support even in the face of adversity.     One strategic initiative within BCCL inspired by embracing vulnerability is our “Leadership Development Program.”

    Acknowledging the importance of nurturing future leaders and fostering a culture of continuous learning, we launched this program to provide aspiring leaders with opportunities for growth and development.

    Central to the program is the encouragement for participants to embrace vulnerability; this includes sharing their apprehensions and leadership hurdles in a supportive environment.
