Car manufacturing company, Maruti Suzuki has elevated Salil B Lal to Head of Human Resources, effective April 1, 2024 Most recently, he was Executive Vice President and CHRO.
He replaced Rajesh Uppal, who held the position of Head of HR and IT. Uppal will transition to the Executive Committee.
Salil has been associated with Maruti Suzuki for 12 years and joined the company in 2012. He has over three decades of experience in the HR Domain. Prior to Maruti Suzuki, he was associated with Ingersoll Rand Industrial Technology as Head of Human Resources.
His earlier experience includes working with Caparo Engineering, Good Year India, Electrolux, and The Tinplate Co. of India Ltd.
Salil started his career as a Personnel Officer -Trainee at TCIL ( Tata Steel ) Jamshedpur. He holds post-graduation In PM & IR, HRM from XISS Ranchi.
