Bharti AXA Life Insurance, a prominent player in the insurance sector, has taken a significant step toward enhancing its distribution network. The company recently onboarded 1,000 new employees, with a notable emphasis on gender diversity—40% of these hires are women.

Bharti AXA Recruitment Strategy

Bharti AXA Life Insurance strategically recruited these employees during Q2 (April, May, June) for its Distribution team. The company actively focused on campus hiring, exclusive women-driven recruitment drives, job portals, women employee referrals, and its social media campaign called ‘She Leads.’

For women employees, the spotlight was on front-line sales and sales leadership roles. Bharti AXA recognizes that empowering women within the insurance salesforce not only bridges the gender gap but also propels industry growth.

Industry Context

“As part of its goal of ‘Insurance for all by 2047’, the industry is moving towards taking a proactive stance by implementing strategic recruitment initiatives that attract and retain talented women,” said Nitin Mehta, Chief Distribution Officer of Partnership Distribution and Head Marketing at Bharti AXA Life Insurance.

The company is looking forward to further expanding and reaching the masse. Bharti AXA’s commitment aligns with this industry-wide shift in mindset.

“By implementing strategic recruitment initiatives and nurturing talent, we aim to drive a shift in mindset – moving beyond tokenism, creating a genuinely inclusive work environment and enabling women to become key drivers of financial inclusion,” stated Dhanashree.
