
National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) also offers opportunities throughout the year except during the months of May-June and December-January.
The internship is provided to students from various streams especially from the law stream, to have attachment with the Commission in batches on a short-term basis for a period of 15 days.

During the internship, the students are exposed to the functioning of various divisions of the Commission. They are also made aware of the process of complaints being attended to by the Commission as well as other issues being taken up. Allowing them interaction with the complainants also is an important feature.
NHRC is inviting applications from students for Short-term internships. Interested students may send their applications along with the following documents :
- The students pursuing Graduation, LLB, Masters including relevant field of Human Rights, Integrated Course (BBALLB, B. Com LLB, BALLB… etc) can apply for the online internship at NHRC, according to the eligibility criteria mentioned in the Advertisement.
- The maximum age limit for students to apply for an internship is 28 years computed as on 01.01.2022.
- If earlier you have done any internship with NHRC, then you are not eligible for doing this internship.
- If you have not done the internship earlier with NHRC, you can click “Proceed” button.
- Before proceeding further, makes sure that you are ready with the following scanned documents in pdf format (maximum 2 MB) and your passport-size photo in jpeg format (not exceeding the size of 70 KB).
a) Certificate of X class
b) Certificate and mark sheet of XII class
c) Certificate and mark sheet of Graduation (if completed)
d) Mark sheet of last exam
e) I-Card of currently pursuing course of present institution.
f) Recommendation letter of Principal/ Dean/ HoD from the institution where presently pursuing the course.
- When you proceed, first you have to fill your mobile number and email Id for verification.
- After that, verify your number by feeding the OTP you receive on your mobile.
- After verification, the applicant has to fill the required details on the page that appears. The fields marked * are mandatory while the others are optional.
- Fill your educational qualifications one by one from 10th Class onwards.
- Clearly mention your pursuing course/degree with name of present organization/ Institute/ University.
- Give your mobile number and email also.
- In the online form kindly fill your marks of examination passed in percentage (%) only.
- The text of Statement of Purpose (SOP) in the prescribed column is confined to 250 words.
- After filling all mandatory fields and uploading scanned documents, you may FINAL SUBMIT the application.
- On final submission of the application, an application number would be issued, which may be referred by the applicant for any reference in future.
- The application filled through any other mode will not be entertained.
- The online Short Term Internship will be held through digital platform of CISCO Webex Meet, for which you require internet connection with good speed or WiFi services at your place.
