
Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw has met Google CEO Sundar Pichai at Google Headquarters and discussed India Stack and the ‘Make-in-India’ program.

Responding to Vaishnaw’s tweet, Google CEO Sundar Pichai said, “Thank you for taking the time to visit us at the Googleplex, Minister @AshwiniVaishnaw.”
“Enjoyed discussing the many ways we’re working together on India’s digital transformation, and the opportunities ahead”, his Tweet added.
Sundar Pichai, earlier in December, highlighted the investments in AI during Google for India event.
During the event, according to reports from Financial Express, CEO Sundar Pichai said, “Tech needs responsible regulation. I think it’s important for countries to think how best safeguard its citizens be it privacy, security, and so I think it’s an important face.”
“India has a leadership role to play here given the scale and technology leadership it will have. He also said that “it is important to have an innovative framework so that the companies can innovate on top of certainty within the legal framework”, he added.
He further said, “India will become a big export economy and benefit from the open and connected internet.”
Additionally, apart from this earlier in December Sundar Pichai also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In his earlier tweet CEO said, “Thank you for a great meeting today PM @narendramodi.”
“Inspiring to see the rapid pace of technological change under your leadership. Look forward to continuing our strong partnership and supporting India’s G20 presidency to advance an open, connected internet that works for all”, his tweet added.
