
Amid the Generative AI debut multinational professional services network and one of the Big Four accounting firms, Deloitte is now turning to AI to avoid Mass Layoffs in the Future.
The company has now explored the use of generative artificial intelligence to automate repetitive and time-consuming tasks previously handled by junior staff members.
The company is allowing its employees to work on tasks that include activities like preparing documents for internal meetings and collecting extensive data for client pitches.
Deloitte has taken such a step to retain its employees using AI comes. The company has already hired 130,000 new hires this year after 2022 saw the highest rate of new hire growth in a decade.
According to the reports of Bloomberg, Global Chief Talent Officer at Deloitte Steven Rolls, said, “It is a great objective to be able to avoid large swings of hirings and layoffs.”
“You could always be more efficient and effective about finding the right people”, Steven Rolls added.
Recently, Deloitte has announced expanded collaborations with renowned academic institutions, including MIT Sloan School of Management, NYU Stern Executive Education and Center for Sustainable Business, and most recently, Arizona State University, to create a differentiated, integrated learning program intended to enhance Deloitte professionals’ ability to help guide clients in identifying and engineering solutions to support what’s good for their business, people and the planet.
The company continues to advance its large-scale enhancement of these skills among its more than 150,000 professionals in the U.S. across its Consulting, Risk & Financial Advisory, Tax, and Audit & Assurance businesses.
Recently, Deloitte is planning to bulk-hire 40,000- 50,000 people from India in the next four to five years.
CEO Romal Shetty said, “I think this is one of the most exciting times to be in India.”
“I think as Deloitte, it’s, for us also a very exciting time, because we have significant growth plans, we plan to sort of, you know, hire more than 40,000 to 50,000 people over the next four to five years”, he added.
Deloitte has nearly 25 percent of the global workforce in India with a workforce of approximately 120,000 employees. The company has a significant presence in India.
