Reliance to launch 'Hanooman', the ChatGPT model in March
The AI model, called Hanooman, is based on the ChatGPT-style AIR model and is scheduled to be introduced in March.

In recent years, companies across various industries have been increasingly turning their attention towards generative AI technologies. The consortium led by Reliance Industries is preparing to launch an artificial intelligence model specifically designed for India (BharatGPT).

Reliance’s Hanooman, model is being developed in collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology universities and is backed by Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd.

In addition to Reliance Industries, BharatGPT includes eight prominent universities as part of the consortium. Recently, a sneak peek of the AI model was showcased to a select audience at an event.

Hanooman will offer speech-to-text capabilities to the users. The model will work via 11 local languages in four fields: health care, governance, financial services, and education. The AI model, called Hanooman, is based on the ChatGPT-style AIR model and is scheduled to be introduced in March.

Reliance is already working on Jio Brain– a platform to use AI across a network of about 450 million subscribers.
