
There have been various scams reported recently. Now, a Retired BHEL officer duped over Rs 1.5 crore for a job in MNC.
A retired engineer of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) Abhijeet Sinha post-retirement was searching for a job and uploaded his details online on many websites.
According to the reports of TOI, he has filed a complaint of a Zero FIR with Garfa police station in Kolkata. The actual FIR of the complaint has now been transferred to Bhopal Ayodhya Nagar police station for further investigation against three people yet to be identified.
Last year, in 2022 a man claiming to be an MNC official offered a top job and siphoned off money from him.
The accused initially introduced themselves as Arun Gupta, Rohan, and K Shrinivas. The complaint has been filed based on the numbers that they had called.
Investigation Officer SI Singh said that the first amount was transferred on October 29, 2022. Additionally, since then the transfer amount has summed to Rs 1.5 crore. They were still demanding more money from Abhijeet Sinha.
The Complainant History
Abhijeet Sinha was an engineer in BHEL and retired from a senior post. He resided in Bhopal with his wife and two children (a son and a daughter) in Minal Residency. His wife is a professor in a college while his daughter is pursuing a law course in Delhi.
The scam is highlighting how even educated and high-profile people are getting trapped and losing hard-earned money.
