UK PM Rishi Sunak Plans New Law To Let Employers Fire Workers
As per the reports, The UK PM Rishi Sunak is expected to be introduced in the parliament in the coming weeks. Additionally, the legislation has planned to enforce “minimum service levels” in six sectors.

The UK PM Rishi Sunak plans a new Law to let employers fire workers. This legislation will allow employers in essential sectors to terminate the employment of striking workers.

The proposed legislation is already facing opposition in the House of Lords from Keir Starmer. The leader of the opposition Labour Party has warned that if his party wins the election in 2024.

As per the reports, UK PM Rishi Sunak is expected to introduce the legislation in the parliament in the coming weeks. Additionally, the legislation has planned to enforce “minimum service levels” in six sectors.

Recently, UK protests and strikes particularly in the rail network sector that has been struggling to keep up with wages due to surging inflation.

Additionally, British employers can legally challenge unions and/or fire staff under the government’s plan that curbs the right of employees to protest. 

However, on the other hand, as per International Labour Organization (ILO), the right to strike is recognized by the UNs as a fundamental right enshrined in international human rights and labour law. Additionally, there is a point that has to be kept in mind protecting it is necessary for a democratic country.

Additionally, the new legislation will require minimum service levels in essential sectors, including the National Health Service (NHS), railroads, teaching, the fire brigade, and the nuclear sector.
